Thanksgiving Day Crash Claims Two from Sterling

In a tragic incident on Thanksgiving Day in Dubuque County, a severe traffic collision resulted in two fatalities and left another person injured. Authorities report that around 1 p.m., a Subaru, driven by 64-year-old Raymond Seeley, was heading west on Skyline Road when it allegedly disregarded a stop sign at the U.S. Highway 151 intersection. A northbound 2021 Peterbilt semi-truck collided with the Subaru, forcing it off the road into a nearby ditch.

Raymond Seeley was pronounced dead at the scene, while his passenger, 62-year-old Deana Seeley, later succumbed to her injuries in the hospital. Both were residents of Sterling, IL. The semi-truck driver sustained injuries in the crash. Investigations are ongoing to determine further details surrounding the accident.
