The 2nd Annual Bellson Music Fest will be held Saturday, June 10th, at the RB&W District in Rock Falls, IL. This event is being planned to carry out the legacy of Louie Bellson who was born in Rock Falls and became the renowned drummer, composer/arranger and band leader. Rock Falls Tourism is working closely with Francine Bellson (widow of Louie Bellson) and Josh Duffee (music director from Davenport, IA) on all aspects of this great event.

Our lineup of five stupendous bands consisting of jazz, blues and music honoring Louie Bellson is now complete. The bands will perform from 12 noon to 9:30 pm at the RB&W District Amphitheater. We are pleased to announce that joining the headlining Walfredo Reyes, Jr. Trio will be Josh Duffee & His Orchestra which have specialized in music from the 1920s, 1930s and 1940s for the past 20 years in the Quad Cities area.

For this year’s Festival, they will perform music from the 1940s, as well as some compositions written by Bellson himself in the 1950s and 1960s. Josh Duffee & His Orchestra also performed at our inaugural Bellson Music Fest in 2022.

Admission is free, and Food vendors will be available on site.
