Third Graders Get A Visit From Rock Falls Rotary Literacy Committee

SHARE NOW

Third grade students in Rock Falls received a special gift this week as part of American Education Week. Cheryl Faber, Chair of the Rotary Literacy Committee, distributed grade-appropriate dictionaries to 165 students across five schools, including East Coloma, Montmorency, Merrill, Thome, and St. Andrew.

The effort included both public and parochial schools, ensuring each third grader received a personal dictionary. Pictured at St. Andrew School, Rotarian Cheryl Faber stands at the back of Lisa Briniger’s third-grade classroom, where students eagerly explored their new books, supporting literacy development across the community.
