Schuyler Co Sheriff Bill Redshaw reports the following activity in Schuyler Co for the week of January 2nd to January 9th:

Jan 4

  • Jesse Ham reported a theft from the hog farm on Hodges Lane. The following items were stolen: 5-6 spools of 500ft wire, box of 8 grease tubes, Dewalt 20v grinder & 4 welding leads. If you have any information regarding this theft, please contact our office as this is under investigation.

Jan 7

  • Robert Plunt of Glenview was cited for Speeding 80mph in a 55mph zone
  • Thomas Grover of Rushville was driving a 2014 Ford and struck a deer on RT 99 near Briggs Lane

Jan 8

  • Brandi Riddell of Beardstown was cited for Leaving the Scene of an Accident. Riddle was driving a 2015 Dodge and was travelling southbound on RT 67 and left the roadway due to snowy conditions. Riddle struck a tree. Riddle and a passenger left the scene without contacting the Sheriff’s Department.
  • John Eilers of Augusta was driving a 2020 Dodge Truck and struck a deer on Rt 24 near Wardell Rd
