The search continues for the Ohio man who was suspected of stealing a vehicle with a 3-year-old child in the back seat on Wednesday, September 4th. The Peoria County Sheriff’s Office has followed up on no reported possible sightings throughout Peoria County over the weekend. However, none of the tips were confirmed to be Victor Farris. There are no known ties to the areas for Farris. It appears he was “just passing through the area” when he was arrested in Woodford County. “We appreciate the possible sighting calls and please continue to do so just in case he is still in the area.”
Law enforcement began searching the Princeville area after the vehicle was found abandoned near Farmington Road and Wildwood Court. The suspect fled on foot, dropping his identification on the Rock Island Trail during the foot chase. The child was reportedly uninjured in the incident.
