State Senator Neil Anderson and State Representative Travis Weaver are hosting the 2024 Children’s Safety Expo on Saturday, August 17, from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Blackhawk College’s Educational Center in Kewanee. The event includes a ‘Touch a Truck’ feature with various emergency and utility vehicles, educational demonstrations, and activities focused on child safety. Admission and refreshments are free, along with giveaways for attendees. Around 20 vehicles are registered for the ‘Touch a Truck’ event, including the MedForce Medical Helicopter. More than 30 agencies will have booths available for information, education, and activities for the kids. Don’t miss out on demonstrations by the MedForce Helicopter, Patti’s Gym, the Flip Flops Tumbling Group, and Kewanee’s K9 Maverick.
