State Senator Li Arellano, Jr., of Dixon, is celebrating the success of the first-ever Valentines for Seniors Card Drive in the 37th Senate District. Over two thousand handmade Valentine’s cards were crafted by students, scout groups, churches, and community members, bringing joy to seniors in long-term care facilities and nursing homes. Senator Arellano expressed deep gratitude to all who participated, saying the initiative spread warmth and reminded seniors they are cherished. The drive highlighted the power of community and kindness, leaving a lasting impact on both the seniors and the volunteers who made it possible.
“Our inaugural Valentines for Seniors Card Drive was a tremendous success, and I want to sincerely thank everyone who donated their time and supplies to create heartfelt cards for our seniors,” said Senator Arellano, Jr. “Because of your generosity, we were able to visit residents in long-term care facilities and nursing homes, spreading warmth and joy during this special week.”
