Senator Neil Anderson Valentine Card Drive for Seniors Card Drive in Illinois 47th District

SHARE NOW

Residents across Illinois’ 47th District are invited to share a little love with local seniors by taking part in State Senator Neil Anderson’s Annual Valentines for Seniors Card Drive. Individuals, families, school groups, and organizations are encouraged to craft homemade cards, delivering heartfelt messages to seniors in area nursing homes and care facilities. The initiative, running through February 6, 2026, seeks to brighten the day for elders who may experience loneliness. Cards can be mailed or dropped off at Anderson’s District Office in Aledo. Questions can be directed to Abbey Peterson via email or by calling the office directly.

“Our seniors have given so much to our communities, and this is a simple but meaningful way to show them how much they are appreciated,” said Senator Anderson. “Valentine’s Day can be especially difficult for those who may feel isolated, and these cards serve as a reminder that they are remembered, valued, and loved.”

Community members are being invited to participate in Senator Anderson’s “Valentines for Seniors” Card Drive. Individuals can complete valentines and either mail them or drop them off at the district office, located at 103 N. College Ave., Suite 201, in Aledo. Office hours run from 8:30 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday, but for those stopping by after hours, a secure drop box is available outside. Organizers hope the effort will bring smiles to area seniors. For more information, reach out to Abbey Peterson at [email protected] or call 309-230-7584.
