The movie SILO is coming to Bureau County on January 23, 2024, at 6 PM at the Bureau Vally High School Auditorium.  SILO is the first featured film about grain entrapment and inspired by true events.

Disaster strikes an American farm town when teenage, Cody Rose, is entrapped in a grain bin.  Cody Rose was trapped in a 50-foot-tall grain bin when the corn turned to quicksand.  Family, neighbors, and First Responders put aside their differences to rescue Cody from drowning in the corn that has sustained the community for generations.

Sponsors for the event are Bureau Valley FFA, Bureau County Farm Bureau Young Leaders, Nutrient Ag Solutions, and the Illinois State Fire Institute.

Reservations are required, call the Bureau County Farm Bureau at 815-875-6468 or through the Facebook event.

A farm safety demonstration by the Illinois Fire Service Institute at Nutrien’s Manlius location on Route 40 following the movie, which is located south of Bureau Vally High School.  Reservations are required for the training for an accurate count for the meal provided.

This program is also brought to you in part by an Illinois Farm Bureau Farm Safety Grant.
