    Peak afternoon heat indices around 105 degrees expected.
    WHERE
    Portions of north central, northwest, and west central Illinois, east central, northeast, and southeast Iowa, and northeast Missouri.
    WHEN
    Until 8 PM CDT Monday.
    IMPACTS
    Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses.
    ADDITIONAL DETAILS
    Heat impacts will be worsened by several consecutive days of sweltering temperatures. Additionally, there will be little relief overnight with near record warm lows forecast in the mid to upper 70s.
    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
    Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an emergency! Call 9 1 1.

Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser to Support the Youth Mission Trip

Enjoy a spaghetti lunch while helping children reach their monetary goal to attend a “life-changing mission trip.” On Sunday, April 21, 2024, at noon at the First Christian Church of Kewanee.  You will get Spaghetti with marinara sauce, Garlic bread, and a Green salad.  The cost is Donation Only. There will be a Dessert Auction as well. The church is located at 105 Dwight Street in Kewanee.

You can sponsor a child for the mission trip for $250 or donate any amount to the mission trip, “Any amount is appreciated.”

About the Mission Trip:
Our youth will be traveling to the Wind River Native American Reservation in Wyoming to serve and share the love of God. Your support will help make this trip possible.
