Windmont Park is set to dazzle once again as volunteers are hard at work on this year’s annual Windmont Park lighting project. Community members have a chance to light up the holidays by sponsoring a display for $200, perfect for honoring loved ones or thanking customers. Organizers say these opportunities are limited, and each sponsorship contributes to the park’s glowing tradition that brings families and friends together each winter. There are four swings still available for sponsorship, so act fast. Those interested in taking part can contact Dianne Packee at 309-312-0168 to reserve a tribute. Donations play a crucial role in keeping the Windmont Park lights shining bright for all to enjoy. Volunteer manual labor is needed for the outside installation of lights and displays at Windmont Park. Volunteers are at the park weekdays from approximately 9 AM to 2:30 PM. Call Dianne Packee each weekday you are able to volunteer to get the day’s schedule.
