This Easter weekend, support the Step Ladder Tutoring Program’s Tag Days Fundraiser, taking place Friday and Saturday, April 18th and 19th, from 10 AM to 2 PM. Volunteers will be stationed at Save-a-Lot and Walmart stores, collecting donations in person or via PayPal. Over the past 13 years, the program has aided 223 students from Central and Wethersfield Jr. High Schools with homework, projects, and test prep. With the support of community members and schools, they’ve helped middle school students take charge of their education and improve their learning outlook. “Helping one child at a time. Support our Tag Days Fundraiser this Easter Weekend. We appreciate the continued support.”
A dedicated program has been supporting middle school students from Central and Wethersfield Jr. High Schools for 13 years. With the help of 79 volunteer tutors, 223 students have received crucial assistance with homework, projects, and test prep. The program offers not only academic support but also free books, school supplies, and snacks at each session. A special summer session at the Kewanee Public Library extends this support, providing students with opportunities to participate in up to two school-year programs and three summer sessions. The program aims to foster responsibility and a positive attitude toward education.
