The Kewanee Fire Department is battling a fire at 109 S Elm Street, the Head Start building. No injuries have been reported over the scanner. Avoid the area of Elm and Central. Update: the fire is in the back of the building and appears to be to be commercial roofing items. There appears to be minor damage to the building.
Off-duty personnel have been recalled to cover the fire stations.
