It’s a new year, so it’s time to find the 2024 Kewanee Outstanding Citizen. The Kewanee Chamber of Commerce is accepting applications for nominations for the next Kewanee Outstanding Citizen. To nominate someone for the 2024 Citizen of the Year, print the form, complete it, and deliver it to the Kewanee Chamber of Commerce at 113 E. 2nd Street, Kewanee, by February 28, 2024. Nominees need to be a resident or former resident of Kewanee and their area of service should be known to the community. Nominees may have community service in areas such as Education, Charitable, Business, Government, Chamber of Commerce, Senior Citizens, Youth, Disabled, Environmental, Economic Development, Community Relations, or Heroic Acts. The more information the selection committee has about your nominee, the better, so list reasons why your nominee should be selected for the Outstanding Citizen Award. You may use the back of the form and additional sheets to complete your nomination. Include how their service was demonstrated, such as by solving a significant problem, the longevity of excellent service to the community, helping others, improving understanding of community concerns, or exceptional efforts in community service.
The 2024 Outstanding Kewanee Citizen winner will be announced after the regular meeting of the Kewanee Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors on March 7, 2024. A banquet will be held at a later date.
