The West MacQueen Street Band, rooted in the heart of Peoria, has been a fixture on its namesake street since 1988. Founded in a house that’s echoed with rock ‘n’ roll since the Beatles era, this group began as a mix of seasoned musicians and fresh high school graduates. Notably, brothers Gene and Gary Turner joined Jerry Donaldson on stage, while Chrystal Walker and Amanda Buss delivered powerful vocals in the early years. Although the original lineup evolved, the band’s music continues to energize the local scene, sustaining a three-decade legacy built on passion and community.
