Volunteers will be stationed at two key intersections: Tenney and McClure, as well as Main and 3rd. Community members are encouraged to drive by and drop donations into the signature firefighter boots, helping fund research and support for individuals affected by muscular dystrophy. Organizers are eager to connect with residents and remind everyone that every contribution, big or small, makes a meaningful difference in the fight against neuromuscular diseases. Don’t miss your chance to be part of this impactful tradition!

The Muscular Dystrophy Association and the International Association of Fire Fighters are marking a remarkable milestone—70 years of partnership through the Fill the Boot campaign. Since its inception in 1954, this community-driven initiative has generated more than $700 million for research, care, and advocacy supporting those affected by neuromuscular diseases. The ongoing dedication of hundreds of thousands of firefighters across the nation has made the IAFF the MDA’s top fundraising partner. Their collective efforts have empowered countless individuals to live longer, more independent lives, highlighting the enduring impact of community support and generosity.
