The Peoria County Sheriff’s Office searched the area of Lakeshore Drive, Slane Road, and Akron Road, southeast of Princeville, for a man suspected of stealing a vehicle with a 3-year-old child in the back seat on Wednesday, September 4th. Law enforcement began searching the area after the vehicle was found abandoned near Farmington Road and Wildwood Court. The suspect fled on foot, dropping his identification on the Rock Island Trail during the foot chase. He was not in custody as of the last update at 10:30 PM Thursday. The suspect is identified as Victor E Farris, 45, of Ohio. He has an “extensive violent history,” according to the Peoria County Sheriff’s Office. “Farris is considered very dangerous due to the incident that happened yesterday and his violent history across numerous states. Please call 911 if seen.”
