Classic cars, motorcycles, and trucks, and community spirit drove the success of the annual Fourth of July Car Show, now in its third year. On July 17, 2025, organizers presented donation checks to two local charities—Quad City Honor Flight and Hog Capitol Wildlife Rescue and Rehab—following the event at Francis Park. The show drew in bigger crowds than ever, with enthusiasts gathering to admire vintage vehicles and support worthy causes. In a public message, organizer John Wirth expressed gratitude for the overwhelming participation, crediting the community for making both the festival and charitable contributions possible. Donations directly benefit veterans and local wildlife in need. Kevin Johnson said that they need veterans and companions for the Honor Flight of the Quad Cities. If you know a veteran or you are willing to be a companion for the honor flights, email [email protected] or call 563-388-3592.

John Wirth said in a Facebook post, “Thank you everyone for making our Francis Park Festival and car show a success! We recently gave all the proceeds to our two charities Honor flight and Hog capital wildlife rescue! Thanks again everyone!”
