In a major drug bust on Interstate 80, Henry County Sheriff’s Office deputies seized 163 pounds (approximately 74k grams) of cannabis during a routine traffic stop. The incident occurred near mile marker 18 when a vehicle was pulled over for speeding and following too closely. Geneseo Police Department’s K9 Kauzi alerted officers to the presence of drugs. Rodrigo Hernandez-Hernandez and Armando Ramirez-Tolentino face severe charges, including possession and intent to distribute cannabis, both felonies. Both suspects are currently held in Henry County Jail awaiting a detention hearing. The community is reminded that these charges are allegations, and the individuals are considered innocent until proven guilty.
