A & W Titans All State Linebacker, Matthew Senteney has signed a letter of intent to continue playing football in college. On Friday, Senteney, surrounded by family and Coaches, signed his letter of intent to play football in the fall at Eureka College. From the press release courtesy of Wethersfield Athletics:
“For the 2022 season, Senteney was named the Defensive Player of the Year for the Lincoln Trail Conference, while amassing 241 career tackles, 3rd in the history of the A-W Football Co-op. 130 of those tackles came this season, putting him in 2nd place for most tackles in a single-season for A-W Football. He will represent the A-W Titans one more time at the Illinois Shriners game in June before donning the maroon & gold of the Red Devils. Matthew was chosen as a member of the Champaign News Gazette Special Mention 100 All-State Team and was a unanimous all-conference Lincoln Trail offensive lineman and linebacker.”
Eureka College is located in Eureka, Illinois and is well known as the alma mater of former President Ronald Reagan.
