The Holiday season has begun at Abilities Plus. The Christmas season starts with the Annual Open house on December 4, 2022, from 1 PM to 3 PM at 1100 N. East Street in Kewanee. The public is invited and they are able to provide refreshments this year. The Open House will feature a bake sale, raffle items and the chance to purchase collectibles, holiday decor and hand decorated evergreen wreaths and holiday gnomes. Attendees will receive an Abilities Plus wall calendar.

Raffle items this year include a mermaid quilt, Christmas quilt, lottery ticket basket, gift card basket, John Deere basket, Soup/Cracker basket, Paw Patrol Chase Pack toy, Diamond Brother’s Cooler basket, Children’s Book basket, American Girl Doll, cozy winter basket, Christmas baking basket, Kate Spade Purse, and an Old Mill Gardens Christmas basket. Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5. Winners will be drawn at 3 PM on December 4th and winners don’t need to be present to win.

Abilities Plus Resale Shop Volunteers have gathered items throughout the year and will sell this unique collection of gifts, holiday decor, antiques and specialty items at the event.

Evergreen wreaths decorated by individuals in the Abilities Plus work services program will be available for purchase for $15. Those wishing to order a wreath or schedule an alternative pick up time can contact Abilities Plus at 309-852-4626 or [email protected].

There will be holiday gnomes for sale that individuals in our Client Day Services program created for $10 each. These are limited quantities, so first come, first serve.

All proceeds from the open house help fund programs that benefit children and adults with delays and disabilities in Henry, Stark, and western Bureau Counties.
