Abilities Plus, an organization dedicated to serving individuals with disabilities, marks its 65th anniversary this year. The organization was founded in 1959 by a group of determined parents seeking services for their children with disabilities. This year, Abilities Plus honors its founding parents and acknowledges the ongoing dedication of its staff, volunteers, and supportive community. Kim Walker, the Executive Director, reaffirms the gratitude towards all who have been part of this journey. In their 2024 Winter newsletter, Abilities Plus also announced the recipients of their 2023 Annual Awards, recognizing individuals and organizations that have significantly contributed to their cause.
