You can apply now for a 2024 Agency Grant from the Kewanee Area United Way (KAUW) online or by contacting the agency by phone or email. The Kewanee Area United Way has been working on a simpler method for applying for an Agency Grant and that process is complete. The online grant application will be available from May 23, 2023 to the submission deadline of June 23, 2023. The Director of the Kewanee Area United Way, Linda Blair, said “The mission of the Kewanee Area United Way is to increase the organized capacity of people to care for one another.” The non-profit organizations funded by the Kewanee Area United way must align with the mission.
Any organization requesting funding for the upcoming 2024 grant year must be a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization to apply for a grant from KAUW. Refer to IRS.gov for more information – https://www.irs.gov/charities-non-profits/charitable-organizations/exemption-requirements-501c3-organizations.
Nonprofit organizations must also fall into one or more of the three areas of emphasis: Health, Educational Success and Financial Stability. The non-profit applicant must also provide services in Henry County, Stark County or both. To apply contact Kewanee Area United Way at [email protected] or call 309-761-8447. All new applicants, that have not previously received funding from KAUW, must also complete an in-person interview with the Board of Directors upon request.
