Bishop Hill to Host Free Native American History Presentation

In Bishop Hill, Illinois, the Bishop Hill Heritage Association will host an illuminating program titled ‘Singing Bird and the Importance of Native American Women in Illinois History’. Kim Sigafus McIver will present the history of Native women in Illinois, with a focus on figures like Singing Bird and Hononegah. The interactive experience, starting at 1 p.m. on April 6, 2024, at the Steeple Building Museum, will feature hands-on displays of items used in their daily lives.
