Kids aged 3 to 8 are welcome to bring their teddy bears in for a check up at Black Hawk College on Saturday, January 21st, 2023. The first ever Teddy Bear Hospital is part of a donation drive for the Kewanee Animal Shelter. Parents are encouraged to bring kids and their favorite stuffed animal to the Teddy Bear Hospital from 9 Am to 12 Noon. Their, students on the East Campus in the Veterinary Science Center will offer a weigh-in, as well as X-rays, bandaging, heart rate, pharmacy services, and surgery. Kids can learn about veterinary care through their teddy bears. Parents are encouraged to also bring a donation for the Kewanee Animal Shelter. Needed items include:
Cat litter
Baking soda
Bleach
Pill pockets
Laundry detergent
Garbage bags
Paper towels
Dog treats
Canned dog food
Sticky notes
Index cards
Help with vet bills
