The Bargain Harvest Weekend in Bishop Hill is on October 14th and 15th and many shops, restaurants and museums will be participating. Participating businesses and restaurants are offering a variety of discounts and sales during normal business hours. Participating museums are offering crafts, video showings and other special activities. The Vasa National Archives will have a Make and Take Hobby Horse station for $5 each. There will be a drawing for a gift basket at the Colony Store and visitors who collect signatures from six shops or museums will be entered into the drawing. The drawing is on Sunday at 3:30 PM and you do not need to be present to win. Pumpkin pictures will be hidden around town for visitors to find and win a special prize.
