Branden Bowden is a Police Officer with the Moline Police Department. Officer Brandon Bowden was recently diagnosed with brain cancer. Branden grew up in Sherrard, is married to Aron (Jackson) and lives in Annawan with his wife and two young boys. In September 2022, Branden was on an overnight shift with the Moline Police Department when he noticed a loss of motor skills and was transported to a local hospital where they found a tumor in his brain. He was transferred to the University of Iowa Hospital later that day where he had surgery that was later determined to be cancer. Branden will undergo care at the University of Iowa Hospitals and have MRI scans every three months to determine his course of treatment. A benefit is planned for Saturday, April 15, 2023, at 4 PM at the Best Western Annawan Inn Banquet Center, located at 315 N Canal Street, to help the family with Branden’s medical costs. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased in advance or at the door. Food is served from 4:30 to 6:30 PM and the Live Auction begins at 6:30 PM. There will also be a Silent Auction, 50/50, Bake Sale, Cash Bar and More.
