From April 1, 2024, construction will commence on 19th Street, stretching from River Drive to 7th Avenue in Moline, Illinois. The $3.1 million project, partially funded by the Illinois Transportation Enhancement Program, will transform 19th Street into a three-lane road and include a 12-foot wide bike path. Additionally, the project includes ADA compliant sidewalks and pedestrian crossings. This initiative forms the first phase of a multi-year project aimed at connecting the Mississippi and Rock River bike paths through Moline’s center. While construction is underway, all businesses will continue to operate, with the completion targeted for November 2024.
