Denver Schmitt is the new Public Works Director for the City of Moline. Schmitt was sworn in on Wednesday night at the rescheduled Moline City Council Meeting. Schmitt comes to the City of Moline after having worked for the City of Bettendorf as a Human Resources Generalist. He has previous experience as well working as the Assistant to the Director of Public Works for Crystal Lake, Illinois for several years. The job of Public Works Director oversees Building Inspections, the Water Division, the Sewer Division, the City Fleet and Facilities Division, Municipal Services, and Parks Maintenance. The addition of Denver Schmitt as Public Works Director gives the City of Moline a full compliment of permanent Department Directors.
