On Thursday morning, organizers of the Knox County Fair announced the headline act for the fair which takes place at the Knox County Fairgrounds in Knoxville, Illinois in July of this year. Country Superstar Scotty McCreery has been confirmed to be the top billed act at the Knox County Fair. Known for his near winning performance on American Idol and huge country music hits such as Damn Strait, Feelin’ It, and You Time, McCreery has become a staple of the top of the country music charts. Recently, McCreery has found success with the song It Matters to Her and has been teasing fans about releasing a new album, perhaps as early as this Summer.
McCreery will be joined by Country Music Legends, Sawyer Brown, as the opening act. Sawyer Brown has been touring almost non-stop since they formed in 1981. In that time, Sawyer Brown has released 23 albums and hit the singles chart more than 50 times. while picking up awards at the CMAs, ACMs, and the CMT Awards. Sawyer Brown will open for Scotty McCreery at the Knox County Fair on July 13th, 2023. Gates will open at 5 PM and the show will begin at 7 PM. Grandstand Tickets & Track tickets will go on sale on February 10th, at 8AM! There will NOT be a $3 gate fee on the day of the event. All seating is general admission, there are no assigned seats.
