Final Pre-Trial Hearings:
Joseph Menold: Joseph Menold remains in custody on a $100,000 (10%) bond. Close to an agreement on the case. A Final Pre-Trial is scheduled for October 16, 2023, at 9 AM. Menold is charged with Possession of Methamphetamine 100-400 grams (Class X Felony), Possession of Methamphetamine with the Intent to Deliver 100-400 grams (enhanced Class X Felony), and Possession of Heroin (Class 4 Felony). Colten English: A Plea is scheduled for October 6, 2023, at 9 AM in Kewanee Court. Colten English is charged with Aggravated Domestic Battery/Strangle (Class 2 Felony), Domestic Battery/Physical Contact (Class A Misdemeanor) and Domestic Battery/Bodily Harm (Class A Misdemeanor). Read more here.
Richard McDonald: The Defense is waiting on a report from Dr. Brownfield. The Final Pre-Trial is scheduled for October 16, 2023, at 9 AM. McDonald is charged with Making Terrorist Threats (Class X Felony), two violations the Sexual Offender Registration Act (Class 3 Felonies). Read more here.
Alex Vandevoorde: Attorney Carmen said his client has concerns for his job because of the court dates. Mr. Carmen doesn’t have availability during the next trial week for a trial. A Motion Hearing is scheduled for November 8th. A Final Pre-Trial is scheduled for November 20, 2023, at 9 AM. Alex Vandevoorde is charged with three (3) counts of Aggravated Battery/Public Place (Class 3 Felony) for shooting people with an Orbeez gun while he was driving. Read more here.
Preliminary Hearings:
Jessica Lindquist: Jessica Lindquist was assigned a Public Defender at her First Appearance on charges for taking contraband into the Henry County Jail. A Preliminary Hearing is scheduled for September 25, 2023, at 1 PM. Lindquist is charged with Bringing Contraband into a Penal Institution (Class 1 Felony) and Official Misconduct (Class 3 Felony).
Tyler Westefer: Tyler Westefer remains in custody of the Henry County Jail on $75, 000 (10%), $250,000 (10%) and $1,000,000 (10%) consecutive bonds for cases 22CF238, 22CF315 and 22CF337. Westefer was charged on September 14th for threatening a public official. His bond was set at $1,000,000 for the new charge and runs concurrent to his pending charges. Westefer indicated that he intended to retain his current attorney, Matthew Paulson, for the new case. Preliminary Hearing is scheduled for October 2, 2023, at 1 PM.
Westefer is charged with Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm by a School (Class X Felony), Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm/Occupied Building (Class 1 Felony) and Reckless Discharge of a Firearm (Class 4 Felony) for Case number 2022CF337. Westefer is charged with Aggravated Unlawful use of a Weapon (Class 4 Felony), Obstructing Justice (Class 4 Felony), Possession of Cannabis 100-500 Grams (Class 4 Felony), Possession with Intent to Deliver Cannabis 100-500 Grams (Class 3 Felony) for Case number 2022CF315. Westefer is charged with Criminal Trespass with Persons Present and Mob Action (Class 4 Felonies) in Case number 2022CF238. Westefer is charged with Threaten a Public Official (Class 3 Felony). Blake Henley: Blake Henley remains in custody on a $150,000 and $50,000 concurrent bonds. Henley was charged with Contempt of Court on July 13, 2023, and most recently charged with Threatening a Public Official on July 26th. A Jury Pre-Trial is scheduled for September 21, 2023, at 9 AM. Henley is charged with Aggravated Battery/Peace Officer (Class 2 Felony) and Resisting (Class 4 Felony) for case 23CF128 and Threaten a Public Official (Class 3 Felony) for case 23CF271.
