Justin Kirchner: Justin Kirchner remains in custody on a $500,000 (10%) bond. The motion for an expert witness to be appointed at the Stat’s expense is scheduled for November 2, 2023. The court found Kirchner to be a real and present threat to the safety of the community and denied the Defense request for pre-trial release. The defense indicated their intent to appeal the pre-trial release decision. An appellate Defender was appointed. Jordan Jones: Jordan Jones remains in custody. Jordan Jones waived his Preliminary Hearing and Formal Arraignment. A Jury Pre-Trial is scheduled for November 16, 2023, at 1 PM. At the Detention hearing, the State said one of the victims required stitches and they don’t know if he will comply with restrictions if release. Attorney Bruce Carmen said this is Mr. Jones’s first felony charge and he plans to live nowhere near where the incident occurred. Judge Hathaway said Jordan Jones will remain in custody. Christopher Hill: Christopher Hill, of Galva, is charged with battery of a Galva Police Officer following an incident that occurred at a bar in Galva. Hill was released with restrictions. He is not allowed to consume or possess drugs or alcohol, no contact with the victim, submit to random drug testing and be monitored by court services. A Preliminary Hearing is scheduled for November 6, 2023, at 1 PM.
