Ashton Powers:  Ashton Powers remains in custody on a $100,000 (10%) bond.  Defense Attorney Camp said there are still in negotiations with the State.  The Jury Pre-Trial is continued to February 23, 2023, at 9 AM.  Powers is charged with two (2) counts of Unlawful Use or Possession of Weapons by a Felon (Class 3 Felony), Reckless Discharge of a Firearm (Class 4 Felony) and Aggravated Assault (Class 4 Felony).  Read more on the case here.

Cole Carlson:  Cole Carlson remains in the Henry County Jail on a $50,000 (10%) bond.   A Plea is scheduled for February 2, 2023, at 9:30 AM.

Carlson is charged with Aggravated Assault (Class 4 Felony), Resisting a Peace Officer (Class 4 Felony), Resisting a Peace Officer (Class A Misdemeanor), Criminal Damage to Property (Class A Misdemeanor), Aggravated Fleeing and Eluding (Class 4 Felony), Driving on a Suspended Driver’s License (Class A Misdemeanor), Reckless Driving (Class A Misdemeanor) 3 counts of Speeding 35+ MPH Over Speed Limit (Class A Misdemeanors) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Class A Misdemeanor) 2022CF344.  Carlson is charged with Aggravated Fleeing to Elude (Class 4 Felony), Attempt to Flee and Elude (Class A Misdemeanor) and Reckless Driving (Class A Misdemeanor) 2022CF347.   Read more on the case here

Nicholas Smith:  Nicholas Smith remains in custody of the Henry County Jail on a $25,000 (10%) bond.  A Plea is scheduled for February 2, 2023, at 11:30 AM.  Smith is charged with Aggravated Battery (Class 3 Felony), Battery (Class A Misdemeanor) and Violation of Order of Protection (Class A Misdemeanor).  Read more here.

Bradley Simmons:  Bradley Simmons remains in custody on a $200,000 (10%) bond.  Attorney Aaron Dyer said he received an offer from the State and needs time to review with his client.  The Jury Pre- Trial is continued to February 23, 2023, at 10 AM.  Simmons is charged with Possession of Methamphetamine 5-15 grams (Class 2 Felony), Possession of Methamphetamine 5-15 grams with Intent to Deliver (Class 2 Felony), Delivery of less than 5 grams of Methamphetamine (Class 2 Felony) and Resisting a Police Officer with Injury (Class 4 Felony).  Read more here.

Rodney Smith:  Rodney Smith remains in the custody of the Henry County Jail on a $25,000 (10%) bond.   A Plea is scheduled for January 20, 2023 at 9:30 AM.  Rodney D Smith is charged with Aggravated Battery/Victim 60+ (Class 3 Felony), Aggravated Battery in a Public Place (Class 3 Felony) and two counts of Domestic Battery/Physical Contact (Class A Misdemeanor).  Smith is charged with Aggravated Battery of a Child under 13/Bodily Harm (Class 3 Felony), Domestic Battery/Bodily Harm (Class A Misdemeanor) and Resist Peace Officer ( Class A Misdemeanor).  Read details about the case here.

Jerni Warner:  Jerni Warner remains in custody of the Henry County Jail on a $1 Million Bond.  Defense Attorney Sullivan said he is working with an expert witness regarding the blood extraction.  The doctor is difficult to reach but has a meeting with him at the beginning of February.  Attorney Sullivan said he may request a 402 Conference depending on the outcome of the blood analysis by Dr. Ron Henson.  A Status/402 conference is scheduled for February 24, 2023, at 11 AM.  The 402 Conference will take place in Judge Hathaway’s Chambers.  Warner is charged with two counts of Aggravated DUI/Death (Class 2 Felony). Tyler Westefer:  Tyler Westefer remains in custody of the Henry County Jail on $75, 000 (10%), $250,000 (10%) and $1,000,000 (10%) bonds for cases 22CF23822CF315 and 22CF337.  Attorney Paulson submitted a Motion to release two credit/debit cards belonging to Tyler Westefer from evidence to Tyler’s Grandfather, the motion was approved.  Defense Attorney Paulson requested the $5,000 bond be surrendered so it can be returned to Tyler’s Grandfather but hasn’t been approved.  A motion hearing will need to be scheduled to discuss the bond release.  A Jury Pre-Trial is scheduled for February 23, 2022, at 11 AM.  Read more here.

Westefer is charged with Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm by a School (Class X Felony), Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm/Occupied Building (Class 1 Felony) and Reckless Discharge of a Firearm (Class 4 Felony) for Case number 2022CF337.  Westefer is charged with Aggravated Unlawful use of a Weapon (Class 4 Felony), Obstructing Justice (Class 4 Felony), Possession of Cannabis 100-500 Grams (Class 4 Felony), Possession with Intent to Deliver Cannabis 100-500 Grams (Class 3 Felony) for Case number 2022CF315.  Westefer is charged with Criminal Trespass with Persons Present and Mob Action (Class 4 Felonies) in Case number 2022CF238.

Scott English: Scott English remains in custody of the Henry County Jail on a $250,000 (10%) bond.   A Plea is scheduled for February 17, 2023, at 2:30 PM.  Scott English is charged with two counts of Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault/Victim under 13 years of age (Class X Felony) and two counts of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse Victim is a family member under 18 (Class 2 Felonies). Melcon DeJesus:  Melcon DeJesus remains in custody of the Henry County Jail on $500,000 (10%) bond.  Defense Attorney Dyer was covering for Attorney Clark Miljush and said they are still waiting on DNA results.  The Jury Pre-Trial is continued to February 23, 2023, at 11 AM.  DeJesus is charged with Four (4) counts of Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault of a Child under 13 (Class X Felony).  Read more here.

William Keller:  William Keller remains in custody of the Henry County Jail on a $75,000 (10%) bond.  A plea offer was presented to Mr. Keller in November.  The case is set for Final Pre-Trial on February 21, 2022, at 9 AM.  Keller is charged with Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse – Victim under 13 years of age and Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse – Victim is a family member under 18 years of age.  Both are Class 2 Felonies.  Read more on the case here.

Amanda Robinson:  Amanda Robinson was unable to get to court last month or appear by zoom but appeared in-person this month.  Amanda Robinson is charged with Delivery of  Meth <5 Grams (Class 2 Felony) and Possession of Meth <5 Grams (Class 3 Felony) for case 2022CF297.  She has new charges for Delivery of Meth <5 Grams (Class 2 Felony) and Possession of Meth <5 Grams (Class 3 Felony) for case 2022CF321.  The Jury Pre-Trial is continued to February 23, 2023, at 1 PM.  A Preliminary Hearing on the new charge is scheduled for January 30, 2023, at 1 PM.  Read more here.

Samantha Engholm:  A Plea is scheduled for February 25, 2023, at 9:30 AM.  Engholm is charged with Fleeing and Eluding (Class 4 Felony), Aggravated Fleeing and Eluding (Class 3 Felony), Reckless Driving (Class A Misdemeanor) and numerous traffic offenses.  She posted bond and was released on November 28th.  Read more here.

William Borsch:  William Borsch remains in the Henry County Jail on a $200,000 (10%) bond.  The Jury Pre-Trial is continued to March 23, 2023, at 1 PM for the Jury Pre-Trial and Motion hearing.  Borsch is charged with Aggravated Battery of a Child under the age of 13 (Class 3 Felony), Possession of Heroin 15-100 grams (Class 1 Felony), and Possession with the Intent to Deliver 15-100 grams of Heroin (Class X Felony).  Read more about his case here.

Brandon Swank:  Brandon Swank remains in custody of the Henry County Jail on a $75,000 (10%) bond.   An Open Plea is scheduled for January 24, 2022, at 1:30 PM.  Mr. Swank made derogatory remark towards Assistant State’s Attorney Reynolds at the conclusion of the hearing.  Swank was giving a Contempt charge in August for making derogatory remarks towards the Galva Police Officer testifying on the stand.  Swank was charged with Possession of a Weapon by a Felon (Class 3 Felony), Possession of less than 5 Grams Meth (Class 3 Felony) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Class A Misdemeanor).  Read details about the case here.
