Christopher Evans:  Christopher Evans remains in custody on a $75,000 (10%) bond.  Defense Attorney Dyer was allowed to withdraw from the case due to a conflict he found after reviewing the discovery.  Attorney William Breedlove was appointed as counsel.  Jury Pre-Trial continued to March 23, 2023, at 1 PM.  A Sentencing Hearing is scheduled for March 17th for the Jury Trial for Theft  and Obstructing Justice in September.  Read details on the case here.  Christopher Evans is charged with Failure to Report an Injury Accident (Class 2 Felony), Aid/ABET/Possession of a Stolen Vehicle (Class 2 Felony), Aggravated Fleeing (Class 4 Felony) and Resisting a Peace Officer (Class A Misdemeanor).

Austin Norberg:  Austin Norberg remains in the Henry County Jail on a $300,000 (10%) bond across all open cases.  Attorney Dyer said his client is considering a counter offer from the State.  A continuance was granted to March  23, 2023, at 9 AM.

Norberg is charged with (22CF205) – Armed Violence with a Category II Weapon (Class X Felony), Aggravated Battery to a Peace Officer (Class 2 Felony), Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Felon (Class 2 Felony), Aggravated Battery/Great Bodily Harm (Class 3 Felony) and Aggravated Battery (Class 2 Felony) for the incident where he pulled a knife when Kewanee Police Officers were attempting to arrest him on a warrant.  (22CF23) – He is charged with Obstruct Justice (Class 4 Felony) from a January arrest.  (22CF24) – He is charged with Possession of Meth <5 Grams (Class 3 Felony) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Class A Misdemeanor).  Read more here.

Andrew Luce:  Andrew Luce remains in custody on a $100,000 (10%) bond.  Attorney Dyer said he hasn’t had much time to meet with his client.  A Jury Pre-Trial is continued to March 23, 2023 at 9 AM. Andrew Luce is charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine (Class 2 Felony), Possession of Methamphetamine less than 5 grams (Class 3 Felony) for 23CF14,  Luce is charged with Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm within 1000 feet from a school (Class X Felony) and Reckless Discharge of a Firearm (Class 4 Felony) for 23CF24.  Read more on the case here.

Marcus Smith:  Marcus Smith remains in custody on a $25,000 (10%) bond.  A plea is scheduled for February 27, 2023, at 1:30 PM.  Smith is charged with Unlawful Possession of Weapon by a Felon (Class 2 Felony), Possession of 30-100 grams of Cannabis (Class A Misdemeanor) and Resisting a Peace Officer (Class A Misdemeanor).  Smith is accused having ammunition and Cannabis in his backpack.  Read more here.

Danny Stanley:  Danny Stanley remains in custody on a $100,000 (10%) bond.  The Defense made a counter offer to the State.  A Jury Pre-Trial is Continued to March 23, 2023, at 9 AM.  Danny Stanley is charged with Armed Violence (Class X Felony), Possession of a Weapon within 1000 Feet of a Public Park (Class 3 Felony), Possession of a Weapon within 1000 Feet of a School (Class 3 Felony), Possession of a Weapon by a Felon (Class 3 Felony) and Possession of Methamphetamine less than 5 grams (Class 3 Felony).  Read more here.

Ashton Powers:  Ashton Powers remains in custody on a $100,000 (10%) bond.  Defense Attorney Camp said they made a counter offer to the State and believe there is a fully negotiated plea.  A Plea Hearing is scheduled for April 6, 2023, at 3 PM.  Powers is charged with two (2) counts of Unlawful Use or Possession of Weapons by a Felon (Class 3 Felony), Reckless Discharge of a Firearm (Class 4 Felony) and Aggravated Assault (Class 4 Felony).  Read more on the case here.

Bradley Simmons:  Bradley Simmons remains in custody on a $200,000 (10%) bond.  Attorney Aaron Dyer said his client wants time to consider the counter offer from the State.  The Jury Pre- Trial is continued to March 23, 2023, at 10 AM.  Simmons is charged with Possession of Methamphetamine 5-15 grams (Class 2 Felony), Possession of Methamphetamine 5-15 grams with Intent to Deliver (Class 2 Felony), Delivery of less than 5 grams of Methamphetamine (Class 2 Felony) and Resisting a Police Officer with Injury (Class 4 Felony).  Read more here.

Tyler Westefer:  Tyler Westefer remains in custody of the Henry County Jail on $75, 000 (10%), $250,000 (10%) and $1,000,000 (10%) bonds for cases 22CF23822CF315 and 22CF337.  Attorney Paulson said he sent a flash drive to the State to obtain discovery.  Assistant State’s Attorney Reynolds said the state is working on the discovery request.  Attorney Paulson submitted a Motion for Furlough on February 23, 2023, and a Motion hearing is scheduled for February 28th at 3:45 PM.  A Jury Pre-Trial is scheduled for March 23, 2022, at 11 AM.  Read more here.

Westefer is charged with Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm by a School (Class X Felony), Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm/Occupied Building (Class 1 Felony) and Reckless Discharge of a Firearm (Class 4 Felony) for Case number 2022CF337.  Westefer is charged with Aggravated Unlawful use of a Weapon (Class 4 Felony), Obstructing Justice (Class 4 Felony), Possession of Cannabis 100-500 Grams (Class 4 Felony), Possession with Intent to Deliver Cannabis 100-500 Grams (Class 3 Felony) for Case number 2022CF315.  Westefer is charged with Criminal Trespass with Persons Present and Mob Action (Class 4 Felonies) in Case number 2022CF238.

Melcon DeJesus:  Melcon DeJesus remains in custody of the Henry County Jail on $500,000 (10%) bond.  They are still waiting on DNA results from the Illinois State Police Lab.  The lab informed State’s Attorney Runty that results would be complete by end of January or February.  Attorney Clark Miljush has reached out to the lab and is waiting for a call back.  The Defense intends to have a final round of testing completed.  The Jury Pre-Trial is continued to March 23, 2023, at 11 AM.  DeJesus is charged with Four (4) counts of Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault of a Child under 13 (Class X Felony).  Read more here.

Dale English:  Negotiations were conducted on Thursday before the hearing.  The State needs to review the counter offer with the victim.  The Jury Pre-Trial was continued to April 20, 2022, at 11 AM.  English is charged with Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault Victim under 13 (Class X Felony) and Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse Victim under 13 (Class 2 Felony). Joseph Menold:  Joseph Menold remains in custody on a $100,00 (10%) bond and a Illinois Department of Corrections no bond warrant.  The Defense made a counter offer to the State.  A continuance was requested to review the next steps with his client.  A Jury Pre-Trial is scheduled for March 23, 2023, at 9 AM.  Menold is charged with Possession of Methamphetamine 100-400 grams (Class X Felony), Possession of Methamphetamine with the Intent to Deliver 100-400 grams (enhanced Class X Felony), and Possession of Heroin (Class 4 Felony).  A Jury Pre-Trial is scheduled for February 23, 2023, at 9 AM.  Read more here.

Matthew Peed:  Matthew Peed will go to Final Pre-Trial on March 20, 2023, at 9 AM.  Matthew Peed is charged with Aggravated Battery by Firearm Discharge (Class 1 Felony), Aggravated Battery in a Public Place (Class 3 Felony), Reckless Discharge of a Firearm (Class 4 Felony) and Aggravated Assault (Class 3 Felony).  Read details about the case here.

Isabel Garcia:  The Jury Pre-Trial is continued to April 20, 2023, at 1 PM.  Isabel Garcia is charged with Trafficking a Controlled Substance (Class X Felony), Manufacture/Delivery of 15 to 100 grams of Fentanyl (Class X Felony) and Possession of a Controlled Substance (Class 4 Felony).  Read more here.

Amanda Robinson:  A Jury Pre-Trial hearing is scheduled for March 23, 2023, at 1 PM.  Amanda Robinson is charged with Delivery of  Meth <5 Grams (Class 2 Felony) and Possession of Meth <5 Grams (Class 3 Felony) for case 2022CF297.  Robinson is charged with Delivery of Meth <5 Grams (Class 2 Felony) and Possession of Meth <5 Grams (Class 3 Felony) for case 2022CF321.  Read more here.
