Ron Bombliss:  Ron Bombliss, 63, of Galva did not appear at his Status hearing on February 6, 2023.  A Fitness Evaluation was ordered for Bombliss by Judge James Cosby in November of 2022.  Bombliss was scheduled to meet with Dr. Brownfield immediately following the Status Hearing in January.  A warrant for $5,000 (10%) was issued for Bombliss with a May Appear date scheduled for April 6th.  Ron Bombliss is charged with Retail Theft <$300, Fleeing/Attempt to Elude and Resisting/Obstructing (Class A Misdemeanors) plus various traffic citations.  Read more here.

Bradley Kelly:  Bradley Kelly, 33, of Kewanee plead Not Guilty to the abduction charges against him.  On January 29, 2023, Bradley Kelly alledegly removed his biological daughter from the city of Tremont, Illinois, without permission from the child’s mother.  The agreement with the mother was for Kelly to keep the child overnight at his parents house.  Detective Minx said the Kelly’s parents house is not in Kewanee.  A traffic stop was initiated at Taco Bell in Kewanee on Kelly’s vehicle.  Kelly exited the vehicle as he was told but did not follow all orders from Officers.  The minor child was unsecured in a car seat in the back seat of the vehicle with no socks, shoes or a coat.  Mr. Kelly said he has rights to the child because the child has his last name, but no court order exists.  The messages between Kelly and the child’s mother were documented but Detective Minx said the hasn’t gotten to review all the messages.  Assistant State’s Attorney Reynolds argued that Kelly did not have permission to bring the child to Henry County.  Attorney Bruce Carmen argued that the violation happened in Tazewell County.  Judge Colby Hathaway found Probable Cause.  Kelly plead Not Guilty and waived a Formal Reading of the Charges.  Kelly posted bond on January 31st and was released from custody.  A Jury Pre-Trial is scheduled for March 23, 2023, at 1 PM.  Read more here.

Brandon Parsons:  Brandon Parsons, 26, of Mentor, Ohio, appeared by Fax with his attorney.  Attorney Stephen Komie requested a continuance of the Preliminary Hearing.  A continuance was granted for the Preliminary Hearing to February 21, 2023, at 2 PM.   Parsons posted bond on January 31st and was released from custody.  A Petition for Substitution of Judge was filed on February 3rd.  Parsons is charged with Cannabis Trafficking > 5000 grams (Class X Felony), Delivery of Cannabis >5000 grams (Class X Felony) and Possession of Cannabis >5000 grams (Class 1 Felony).

Justin Stanley:  Justin Stanley, 18, of Kewanee remains in custody on a $175,000 (10%) bond.  Attorney Lance Camp informed Judge Hathaway that he needed to withdraw from Justin Stanley’s case because he has a conflict.  Attorney Camp is representing Justin’s father, Danny Stanley.  Judge Hathaway allowed Attorney Camp to withdraw and appointed Attorney Bob Rennick Jr. as Defense Attorney.  The Preliminary Hearing is continued to February 9, 2023, at 3 PM.  Justin Stanley is charged with Armed Violence (Class X Felony), Five counts of Unlawful Possession of Firearm without a valid FOID card (Class A Misdemeanor), Aggravated Unlawful Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine (Class X Felony), Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance within 500 feet of a School (Class X Felony), Unlawful Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine (Class 1 Felony), Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine (Class 2 Felony), Unlawful Possession of Weapon (Class 3 Felony), Unlawful Possession of Cannabis (Class 4 Felony) and Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (Class 4 Felony).  Read more here.

Preston Atkisson:  Preston Atkisson, 33, of Geneseo remains in custody on a $200,000 (10%) bond.  Preston Atkisson waived a Preliminary Hearing and Formal Arraignment.  Atkisson plead Not Guilty.  A Jury Pre-Trial is scheduled for March 23, 2023, at 1 PM.  Atkisson is charged with Aggravated Battery of an EMT (Class 3 Felony), Criminal Sexual Abuse (Class 4 Felony), Resisting a Peace Officer (Class A Misdemeanor) and Assault (Class C Misdemeanor) for case 2022CF144.   Atkisson is charged with two (2) counts of Criminal Trespass to Residence with Persons Present (Class 4 Felony) for case 2022CF43.  Atkisson is charged with Threatening a Public Official (Class 3 Felony), Aggravated Assault of a Process Server (Class 4 Felony), Battery/Physical Contact (Class A Misdemeanor) and Batter/Cause Bodily Harm (Class A Misdemeanor) for case 2023CF22.  Read more here.
