Bradley Kelly:  The State requested a continuance because they are waiting on certified documents from Peoria County and do not know when the documents will arrive.  The Defense objected to a continuance but Judge Hathaway granted a continuance to June.  A Final Pre-Trial is scheduled for June 20, 2023, at 9 AM.  Kelly is charged with Child Abduction (Class 4 Felony), Endangering the Life or Health of a Child (Class A Misdemeanor), and Resisting a Peace Officer (Class A Misdemeanor).  Read more here.

Michael Workheiser:  The Sentencing Hearing on May 1, 2023, was continued because Judge Cosby wasn’t appointed as the Judge on the case to conduct a sentencing hearing.  Mr. Workheiser requested a judge substitution for Judge Hathaway for the sentencing part of the plea because of a possible conflict of interest.  Mr. Workheiser had previously requested a substitution of Judge for Judge Patton for a conflict of interest.  As an Associate Judge, Judge Cosby would need to be appointed as the Judge in order to conduct a sentencing hearing.  A Status Hearing is scheduled for May 23, 2023, at 11 AM.  Read more here.
