Final Pre-Trial Hearings:

Barry Cox:  Barry remains in custody on a $250,000 (10%) bond.  A Plea is scheduled for September 28, 2023, at 3:30 PM.  Barry Cox is charged with Possession of Meth 5<15 Grams (Class 2 Felony), Possession of a Weapon by a Felon (Class 3 Felony), Bomb/Bombshell/Grenade (Class 3 Felony) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Class A Misdemeanor) for case 2023CF104.  Cox has cases 2022CF248  and 2022CF247 for charges of Delivery of Meth <5 Grams (Class 2 Felony) and Possession of Meth <5 Grams (Class 3 Felony) in both cases.  Read more here.

Dale Livingston:  Mr. Livingston has some information to give his attorney regarding the case.  A Final Pre-Trial is scheduled for October 23, 2023, at 9 AM.  Livingston is charged with Aggravated Battery/Victim 60+ (Class 3 Felony) and Domestic Battery/1-2 Prev Convictions (Class 4 Felony) for case 23CF145.  Read more here.

Ronald Bombliss:  Ron Bombliss failed to appear at his first hearing with Judge Patton.  A Summons will be issued for the next Final Pre-Trial hearing and a new Jury Trial will be scheduled for Mr. Bombliss regarding his fitness status.  A Final Trial is scheduled for October 23, 2023, at 9 AM.  Ron Bombliss is charged with Retail Theft <$300, Fleeing/Attempt to Elude and Resisting/Obstructing (Class A Misdemeanors) plus various traffic citations.  Read more here.

Preliminary Hearings:

Brian Ocampo:  Brian Ocampo, 21, of Kewanee continued his Preliminary Hearing so he can get a copy of his FOID card to his attorney and surrender his FOID card as part of the bond conditions.  A Preliminary Hearing is scheduled for October 10, 2023, at 1 PM.  Ocampo is charged with Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon (Class 4 Felony).  Read more here.

Jessica Lindquist:  Attorney Camp has a conflict with the defendant.  Attorney Carter was appointed to the case.  A Preliminary Hearing is scheduled for October 10, 2023, at 2 PM.  Lindquist is charged with Bringing Contraband into a Penal Institution (Class 1 Felony) and Official Misconduct (Class 3 Felony).  Read more here.

Justin Kirchner:  A Preliminary Hearing was held for Justin Kircner.  Officer Dylan Galloway with the Atkinson Police Department was the first witness called to testify.  Officer Galloway was south of Atkinson on County Highway 5 when he heard a motorcycle with the engine revving.  Officer Galloway recognized the motorcycle from a call on August 3rd when he was on duty with the Henry County Sheriff’s Office.  Officer Galloway pulled out of the parking lot behind the motorcycle and attempted to conduct a traffic stop.  The motorcycle did not have a license plate and was driving at a high rate of speed.  The motorcycle from Officer Galloway at speeds of over 100 MPH and refused to stop for Officer Galloway.  Officer Galloway had the lights and siren activated during the pursuit.  Officer Galloway was able to see the face of the driver when the driver executed turns.  Deputies Wagner and Copeland assisted in the pursuit on Highway 81 by Kewanee.  Defense Attorney Paulson decided not to call the alibi witnesses to testify.  Officer Galloway was able to identify Mr. Kirchner as the driver of the motorcycle from prior encounters with Mr. Kirchner.  The pursuit was terminated on Kentville Road new the Bureau County Line.  The motorcycle was found abandoned in a waterway south of Neponset.  The VIN returned as reported stolen.  Judge Terry Patton found probable cause.  A Jury Pre-Trial is scheduled for October 12, 2023, at 2 PM.  Kirchner is charged with Aggravated DUI causing a Death (Class 2 Felony), DUI Any Amount of Drug (Class A Misdemeanor) plus traffic tickets for case 2022CF301.  Kirchner is charged with Possession of Meth <5 Grams (Class 3 Felony), Driving on Suspended License (Class A Misdemeanor), Plus traffic citations for case 2023CF92.  Kirchner is charged with Driving on Suspended License (Class A Misdemeanor) for case 2023MT28.  Kirchner is charged with Aggravated Fleeing/21 MPH Over (Class 4 Felony), Aggravated Fleeing/2+ Control Devices (Class 4 Felony) and Reckless Driving (Class A Misdemeanor) for case 2023CF238.  Read more here.

Robert Mazo:  Robert Mazo, 29, of Lancaster, California, waived his Preliminary Hearing and Formal Arraignment.  Mazo is allowed to reside in California on electronic home monitoring.  A Jury Pre-Trial is scheduled for November 9, 2023, at 1 PM.  Robert Mazo is charged with Cannabis Trafficking > 5,000 Grams (Class X Felony), Delivery of Cannabis > 5,000 Grams (Class X Felony) and Unlawful Possession of Cannabis > 5,000 Grams (Class 1 Felony).  Read more here.
