Dhnae Jackson Released on Recognizance Bond with Electronic Home Monitoring

The 23-year-old Kewanee woman charged with the head-on collision that critically injured Cody Bennett was released on a Recognizance bond with Electronic Home Monitoring.  The $50,000 (10%) bond was ordered to remain at the Bond Review on October 28, 2022.  A second Bond Review was scheduled for November 1, 2022, and Judge Andreoni ordered a Recognizance Bond with bond conditions.  According to Assistant State’s Attorney, Greg Sticka, Dhnae Jackson was released on November 1st with a Electronic Home Monitoring bracelet.  Ms. Jackson is allowed “limited movements”, such as court dates and doctor appointments.  Assistant State’s Attorney Sticka said the order was entered by the Judge yesterday.  Ms. Jackson is scheduled for a Final Pre-Trial on December 28, 2022, at 10AM.  The Jury Trial is scheduled for January 23, 2023 at 9 AM.

Dhnae Jackson is charged with two (2) counts of Aggravated DUI/Bodily Injury (Class 4 Felony) from the head-on collision with Cody Bennett in Rural Neponset on May 19, 2022.  A Class 4 Felony is punishable with 1-3 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections but generally punishable with Probation.
