Firefighter Initial Hire Testing
The Kewanee Board of Fire and Police Commissioners will be conducting examinations to establish an eligibility roster for initial hire for the Kewanee Fire Department. There is no fee for the examination process. All candidates must be between the ages of 21 and 35 at time of application or otherwise exempt by law.

Community Development
The City of Kewanee is accepting applications for the part-time position (20-25 hours / week) of Neighborhood Services Coordinator. This position reports directly to the Director of Community Development. Primary responsibilities include enforcing the City’s code of ordinances pertaining to the elimination of blight and improving the appearance of residential and commercial areas.
Qualified applicants must possess a high school diploma or its equivalent. The applicant must possess computer skills, be able to work cooperatively with the public and be able to excel in a team-oriented environment.

Applications are being accepted by the City of Kewanee for the entry level position of Truck Driver Laborer in the Public Works Department. Applications along with the job description can be printed from the links below or can be picked up at Kewanee City Hall 401 East 3rd St. Kewanee IL 61443. Applications must be turned in at City Hall for consideration and will be accepted until the position is filled. The City offers an excellent wage and benefit package. Starting hourly wage is $19.63 and would increase to $24.53 after completion of the 9-month probationary period.
