Final Pretrials and Preliminary Hearings for June 20, 2023

Bradley Kelly:  The Defense said they are ready for trial but the State said they are waiting on certified documents from Peoria County regarding custody of the child.  Judge Hathaway denied the State’s request for a continuance.  A half-day trial is scheduled for June 28, 2023, from 1 to 4 PM.  Kelly is charged with Child Abduction (Class 4 Felony), Endangering the Life or Health of a Child (Class A Misdemeanor), and Resisting a Peace Officer (Class A Misdemeanor).  Read more here.

Alex Vandevoorde:  The Defense said they are ready for Trial.  The State said they are waiting on video footage.   A Final Pre-Trial is scheduled for July 17, 2023, at 9 AM.  Alex Vandevoorde is charged with three (3) counts of Aggravated Battery/Public Place (Class 3 Felony) for shooting people with an Orbeez gun while he was driving.  Read more here.

Richard McDonald:  The Defense has received some correspondence from Dr. Brownfield but waiting on the final report.  The Final Pre-Trial is scheduled for July 17, 2023, at 9 AM for Status.  McDonald is charged with Making Terrorist Threats (Class X Felony), two violations the Sexual Offender Registration Act (Class 3 Felonies).  Read more here.

Dlorean Sullivan:  Dlorean Sullivan, 37, of Kewanee waived his Preliminary Hearing and Formal Arraignment.   A Jury Pre-Trial is scheduled for July 20, 2023, at 9 AM.  Sullivan is charged with Aggravated Stalking/Violate OP (Class 3 Felony) and Violate OP/Prior Violation (Class 4 Felony).

Khaji Bradley:  Khaji Bradley, 30, of Chicago is charged with calling 911 more than once when there wasn’t an emergency.  Khaji Bradly called 911 and said he needed to speak with an officer but wouldn’t give the dispatcher any information.  Bradley had previously been banned from Henry County Housing Authority properties and was told to leave and only call 911 for an emergency.  Bradley called 911 again and asked for a train.  Officer Paulson warned him again to only call 911 for an emergency.  According to testimony by Detective Michael Minx, Khaji Bradley was seen on surveillance holding onto his wife’s car as she was leaving with their child.  His wife left the scene prior to officers arrival.  The Officers on scene observed no emergencies at either call.  Judge Colby Hathaway found probable cause and a Jury Pre-Trial is scheduled for July 20, 2023, at 9 AM.

William Borsch:  William Borsch remains in the Henry County Jail on a $200,000 (10%) bond.  The Preliminary Hearing for the Violation of an Order of Protection was continued to his current Pre-Trial.  The Jury Pre-Trial is scheduled for June 22, 2023, at 1 PM.  Borsch is charged with Aggravated Battery of a Child under the age of 13 (Class 3 Felony), Possession of Heroin 15-100 grams (Class 1 Felony), and Possession with the Intent to Deliver 15-100 grams of Heroin (Class X Felony) for case 2022CF44 and Theft <300 (Class 4 Felony) and Retail Theft <300 (Class A Misdemeanor) for case 2021CF394 and Obstruct Justice/Destroy Evidence (Class 4 Felony) and Violate Bail Bond (Class A Misdemeanor) for case 2022CF54 and Violate Order/Prior Domestic (Class 4 Felony) and Violate Order of Protection (Class A Misdemeanor) for case 2023CF130.  Read more here.
