First Congregational Church is holding the Annual Black History Month Extravaganza on Sunday, February 19, 2023, at 2 PM. First Congregational Church is located at 224 W. Prospect Street in Kewanee. Federal, State and Local Officials will join Business and Agency Leaders and citizens from the community to celebrate the many contribution and sacrifices made in society to improve the lives of people in our county and around the world. The event will be uplifting with fellowship, music and song. Student winners in grades 4-6 and 7-8 from Kewanee, Wethersfield and Visitation School Districts will read their essays at the event. The essay contest was sponsored by the Kewanee Commission on Human Relations.
