Former Dixon Mayor Li Arellano Elected to State Senate in 37th District

The former Mayor of Dixon, Illinois, who helped lead the City following one of the largest municipal accounting scandals in Illinois history, Li Arellano is now a State Senator. On Tuesday, Arellano defeated two other challengers for the seat, Tim Yager and Chris Bishop. Arellano takes over the seat being vacated by State Senator Win Stoller who decided not to run for re-election. Stoller endorsed and campaigned for Arellano as his replacement.
