Galesburg Stabbing Suspect Arrested on Monday for Attempted Murder

The Galesburg man sought for Attempted First Degree Murder from a stabbing Saturday night has been arrested and is in custody of the Knox County Jail.  Around 9:12 PM, the Galesburg Police Department responded to JB Hawks/Lucky’s Landing for a disturbance.  Officers located a victim with multiple stab wounds.  The victim was taken by LifeFlight to OSF St. Francis in Peoria and remains in stable condition.  Jeremiah Bradfield, 37, of Galesburg is charged with Attempted First Degree Murder (Class X Felony), Aggravated Battery/Great Bodily Harm (Class 3 Felony) and Aggravated Battery/Deadly Weapon (Class 3 Felony).  The State’s Attorney’s office has filed a Petition to deny pretrial release.  No Court dates have been scheduled at the time of this writing.

Bradfield is facing up to 80 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.
