In a busy week for local law enforcement, officers in Galva were dispatched to a variety of incidents from June 10th through June 16th. The police responded to several vehicle-related mishaps, including two collision accidents on SW 3rd Ave and SE 2nd Street, both resulting in only property damage. Authorities also addressed multiple false alarms and managed community concerns such as a child accidentally ingesting ant bait and several domestic disputes that thankfully, did not escalate beyond verbal altercations.

Moreover, there were notable welfare checks, to include a confused pedestrian heading towards Milan, Illinois, and a mental health crisis in the downtown area. Traffic enforcement was also active, leading to citations for violations including suspended registrations and uninsured vehicles. Even amid these challenges, the Galva police effectively mediated in retrieving a large tree limb obstructing a roadway, showcasing their readiness to handle both emergencies and routine community care.
