November 14
Officer was dispatched to assist Kewanee PD with attempting to locate a stolen cell phone that showed it was currently located in the 00 block of SW 4th Street. Officer was not able to locate it.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of NW 1st Street for a landlord / tenant dispute. As the result, Nicholas Yelm, 50, Galva, was arrested for resisting a police officer and disorderly conduct. He was taken to the Henry Co jail, where he later posted bond.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of Front Street for a 9-1-1 call for a subject having a panic attack.
Officer was advised that a train had stopped and was blocking all Galva crossings. BNSF was contacted and the train eventually moved along.
November 15
Officer, along with several area fire departments and Stark Co Medic, were dispatched to an active structure fire in the 400 block of West Division Street. The state fire marshal was also contacted.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of NW 7th Street in reference to ongoing issues with a neighbor.
Officer was flagged down about 2 abandoned dogs in the 300 block of NW 1st Street. Officer spoke to the owner, who advised the animals are well taken care of.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SE 2nd Ave for a disturbance complaint.
Officers went to the 100 block of SE 2nd Street to attempt to locate a wanted subject. As the result, Michael Thuline, 54, Galva, was arrested on a Henry Co warrant for failing to appear on charges of disorderly conduct-false police report, and criminal trespass to land. He was unable to post bond and was transported to the Henry Co jail.
Officer was dispatched to assist a citizen in the 300 block of SE 2nd Ave.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 2nd Street for an activated burglar alarm. It was determined to be a false alarm.
November 16
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of SW 1st Ave for a complaint involving an unknown person stealing the neighbor’s dog and speeding away. Officer contacted the dog owner, who advised he picked up his dog and had possession of it.
November 17
Officer met with a resident at the Galva PD who has ongoing issues with a neighbor.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4th Street for a loud noise complaint.
November 18
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NE 4th Street to assist a citizen whose cat got locked inside a residence.
Officer was dispatched to assist Knox Co with an activated burglar alarm at a residence south of the cemetery. It was determined to be a false alarm.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of NE 4th Ave for a city ordinance violation involving burning on a non-burn day. The subject put the fire out.
Officer was dispatched to a residence on SW 4th Ave to check welfare on a subject.
Officer met with a resident at the Galva PD to register as a sex offender.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 1200 block of SE 2nd Street, two passengers were found to have warrants. Nelson Alonso, 20, Galesburg, was arrested on a Knox Co warrant for failure to appear on the charge of disregarding a yield sign. He posted bond and was released. Jamison Littlefield, 21, Galesburg, was arrested on a Knox Co warrant for failing to appear on the charge of possessing a converted firearm. He also attempted to provide a false name and got a new charge of obstructing identification. He was taken to the Henry Co jail.
November 19
As the result of a traffic stop in the 200 block of SW 2nd Street, Scott Green, 33, Galesburg, was arrested for operating a vehicle with suspended registration and for not having valid insurance. He was released with a required court date.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4th Street for a fight-in-progress complaint. This remains under investigation. Charges are pending.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 1200 block of SE 2nd Street, Samantha Collins, 22, Galva, was arrested for operating a vehicle with suspended registration and for speeding. She was released with a required court date.
November 20
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of SE 2nd Street to check an abandoned vehicle.
Officer was dispatched to the 1000 block of SE 2nd Street to assist a motorist that locked their keys inside the vehicle. Tarletons responded and were able to assist him.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 300 block of SE 2nd Street, Blake Moeller, 19, West Point, IA, was arrested for driving while license suspended. He was released with a required court date.
Officer was dispatched to check an open door in the 400 block of West Division Street. It appeared to be weather (wind) related.

Lila Vanacker, 21, Milan, was issued a citation for speeding in the 600 block of West Division Street.
Carrson Anderson, 22, Woodhull, was issued a citation for not having valid insurance in the 900 block of West Division Street.
Zachary Phelps, 40, Kewanee, was issued citations for improper passing and not having valid insurance in the 600 block of West Division Street.
November 16
Nathan Chambers, 31, Galesburg, was issued a citation for speeding in the 900 block of SE 2nd Street.
November 17
Joshua Tuhey, 42, Toulon, was issued a citation for possession of adult use cannabis in a motor vehicle.
November 18
Averyl Stevenson, 24, Galva, was issued a citation for speeding in the 1000 block of North Center Ave.
November 19
A 17 year old subject from Monmouth was issued a citation for speeding in the 1100 block of SE 2nd Street.
November 20
Damon Weed, 20, Galva, was issued an administrative warning ticket (AWT) for speeding in the 00 block of Chester Street.
Thomaz Costa, 69, New Windsor, was issued a citation for speeding in the 800 block of West Division Street.
