    ADDITIONAL DETAILS
    Heat impacts will be worsened by several consecutive days of sweltering temperatures. Additionally, there will be little relief overnight with near record warm lows forecast in the mid to upper 70s.
    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
    Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments. In just the last month, gas prices in Kewanee have risen nearly 40 cents. That’s a significant rise in prices and it has many wondering where they can find the most affordable gallon of gas. RegionalMediaNews.com spoke with the folks at GasBuddy, the go-to website for gas prices across the country. According to Gasbuddy, which collects gas prices from users in each City in order to locate the lowest price per gallon as well as the average price across the city. According to GasBuddy, as of the most recent update, Sullivan’s in Kewanee has the lowest price per gallon at $3.84 per gallon. That’s 5 cents lower than BP and Becks which has gas at $3.89 per gallon. The highest price per gallon currently is $4.09 per gallon at multiple locations in the City of Kewanee. Kewanee is far from alone in the rise in gas prices as prices are rising across the country and are fueling fears of inflation.
