A Peoria man is in jail for the burglary at Sheltons Bar in West Peoria on September 1, 2022, around 2:50 AM. The suspect broke into gaming machines and stole an undisclosed amount of money. The investigation by detectives developed enough probable cause to arrest Gregory A. Belville, 32, of Peoria, for the Burglary at Sheltons Bar. Detectives found two firearms in Belville’s vehicle at the time of his arrest. Belville admitted to the burglary and to swallowing methamphetamine during his arrest. Belville was transported to the hospital for treatment and booked into the Peoria County Jail after cleared by doctors. Gregory Belville is charged with Business Burglary (Class 2 Felony), Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Felon (stolen sawed off shotgun) (Class 2 Felony) and Criminal Damage to property. Belville had two outstanding warrants in Peoria County and is currently on a hold for the Illinois Department of Corrections. Arraignment is scheduled for December 1, 2022, at 1:30 PM
