Henry and Stark County Health Department Celebrating Public Health Week

In a concerted effort to uphold community health, the Henry and Stark County Health Departments are illuminating the vital role of public health services during National Public Health Week, set for April 1-7, 2024. The theme for the annual event, titled “Protecting, Connecting, and Thriving: We Are All Public Health,” underscores the interplay between physical and mental health in our community. Duane Stevens, Public Health Administrator, emphasized the unwavering dedication of their 50 full-time employees, who work tirelessly to maintain the health of 60,000 residents daily. Amid the on-going challenges, the health departments strive to foster healthier communities through preventive actions and advocating for equitable health policies.
