A pair of orphaned twin owls were released back into the wild by the Hog Capital Wildlife Rescue and Rehab. The gorgeous twins were rescued and cared for until they could be released to care for themselves, a process documented on the Hog Capital Wildlife Rescue and Rehab social media outlets. On Monday, June 5th, the group released the Owls to a chorus of fellow owls in a lovely wooded area. In the video posted to Facebook you can see and hear the remarkable release…
“The twins went free tonight! It was the coolest thing! We took them to our favorite release location, called the adults, and the whole timber lit up with the sounds of owls calling. And we saw at least one adult, and heard one talking to the twins. The twins did great. They literally don’t even need a mom to feed them, just a foster mom to teach them to hunt. And the wonderful parliament there is perfect.”
Meanwhile, the Hog Capital Wildlife Rescue and Rehab is looking to expand their facilities. The group has launched a GoFundMe to convert a home in their neighborhood into a rehab facility. The goal of the GoFundMe is $15,000 and you can make a donation at this link.
