The Illinois State Police have issued a travel advisory for December 22nd and 23rd, 2022. ISP requests people postpone unnecessary road travel on Thursday and Friday due to the heavy snow, bitter cold and gusty winds headed out way, which will create hazardous road conditions. If you must drive, reduce our speed, increase your following distance and stay vigilant. Remember to SLOW DOWN and MOVE OVER for ANY vehicle on the side of the road with emergency or hazard lights activated. Pack an emergency kit in the event you are stranded on the road.
